The Presiding Member is the school’s leader in all community, public and non-professional situations. The Presiding Member’s role is to oversee all Board activities and to act as spokesperson for the Board.
Supports the Presiding Member and provides leadership to the board.
The Principal is the link between the Board of Trustees and the school. The Principal is the professional and administrative leader of the school, whose role is to lead and manage the school in a manner consistent with its charter, plans, and legal obligations.
Provide a safe environment to meet students’ needs.
Maintain, in consultation with Principal and Staff, Property Person,
the school buildings and facilitates in order to offer students a good learning environment.
Oversees the financial transactions of the School.
Governance and Legislation
Represent the staff at the monthly meetings of the Board.
Records the Minutes of the monthly meeting of Ruru Specialist School Board
