Qualifications

Ruru Specialist School is accredited to assess students for NCEA and Unit Standards.

Students aged over 16 years are offered unit standards in a range of areas- with English, Mathmatics and Life Skills being a priority. Many students are working towards the New Zealand Certificate in Skills for Living for Supported Learners (Level 1).

In addition some students also achieve unit standards through STAR courses.
